Bratäpfel #2   (Baked Apples)

2 Apples
2 tablespoons chopped Almonds
2 tablespoons Raisins
1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 stick Butter, soft
Lemon Juice
2 tablespoons Melted Butter
Vanilla Ice Cream

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a small casserole dish with butter.

Core the apples and brush the insides of the apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Combine the soft butter with the almonds, raisins, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. Stuff each apple with the butter mixture. Place stuffed apples in to the prepared casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes. Cover apples with aluminum foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes.

Place each apple on a plate and drizzle each with the melted butter. Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream.
