Apfelspätzle
(Spätzle with Apples)
Fresh Spätzle or 1 package dried Spätzle (available at most German Delicatessens)
3-4 Apples
Butter
Sugar
Cinnamon
Applesauce
Prepare Fresh Spätzle or cook dried Spätzle according to package instructions.
Wash, peel, de-core, and slice apples. Sautee in some butter.
Mix in Spätzle and allow to cook a few minutes longer.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Add applesauce to taste. Serve immediately.
